General Regulations Diving Activities - Sea Tribe Diving School
These regulations govern participation in activities organized by Sea Tribe Diving School. Participation implies full acceptance of the following terms and conditions.
I) Boats
Divers and their companions must behave responsibly on board and follow the captain’s instructions at all times.
Boarding and disembarking are strictly prohibited until mooring procedures are completed and authorization is given by the captain.
Sea Tribe ensures that all boats used are suitable and equipped with all mandatory safety equipment in compliance with current regulations.
Boats may only be operated by qualified personnel holding a valid boating license.
II) Equipment Use
Sea Tribe Diving School ensures that all provided diving equipment is regularly serviced and disinfected in compliance with current regulations.
The use of diving equipment is allowed only to certified divers holding a recognized international certification.
Diving and boating equipment is not provided free of charge (except for students where applicable).
Rental fees are charged as a contribution to maintenance costs and are intended as daily or flat rates for extended use.
Rented equipment must be returned at the agreed date and time. Late returns will incur additional daily charges.
In case of damage, repair costs will be charged; in case of loss or irreparable damage, the market value will be charged.
Divers are required to check the proper functioning of equipment before use and upon return.
Any malfunction must be reported immediately to allow replacement.
No refunds are provided in case of equipment failure occurring on the boat or during the dive.
All rented equipment must be rinsed before being returned.
III) Environmental Protection
The collection of any marine organism is strictly prohibited.
It is forbidden to damage, touch, or remove any marine life, whether alive or dead, both underwater and on beaches.
Littering at sea or along the coast is strictly prohibited.
IV) Diving Activities
Art. 1 – Participation Requirements
Participants must declare:

to be in good health;

to hold a valid medical certificate for diving activities;

to possess a valid diving certification and logbook.
Art. 2 – Mandatory Refresher
A theoretical and practical refresher is mandatory if the diver has not dived for more than 6 months or if a student has interrupted a course for more than 6 months.
Art. 3 – Diving Procedures
Dives will be conducted:
-
always in buddy teams;
-
within the limits of the diver’s certification;
-
within no-decompression limits according to dive tables or dive computers;
-
for recreational divers, never beyond 40 meters.
Dives beyond no-decompression limits, deeper than 40 meters, or using gas mixtures will follow technical diving standards according to the diver’s certification level.
Art. 4 – Compliance
Participants must strictly follow instructions and dive plans set by guides and instructors without exceeding agreed limits.
Art. 5 – Payments and Refunds
Payment must be made at the time of booking.
In case of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions: full refund.
In case of cancellation by the participant, notice must be given at least 24 hours in advance (except for specific weekend conditions involving third-party providers).
Otherwise, no refund will be issued.
Art. 6 – Personal Belongings
Sea Tribe Diving School is not responsible for personal belongings or equipment left in storage.
V) Dives, Trips, and Organized Excursions
Bookings must be made via email or phone. Payment must be completed within 48 hours prior to the dive.
In case of voluntary cancellation or health-related issues, no refund will be provided.
For trips in Italy or abroad, the terms and conditions of the tour operator or organizing agency will apply.
Art. 1 – Adverse Weather
In case of adverse weather conditions occurring within 24 hours prior to daily trips, a full refund will be issued.
Art. 2 – Uncertain Weather
In case of non-ideal but not prohibitive conditions (e.g., light rain, reduced visibility, calm or slightly rough sea), the final decision rests with the staff.
Art. 3 – Insurance
Personal diving insurance (e.g., DAN or equivalent) is strongly recommended.
VI) Training Activities
Art. 1 – Course Enrollment
Upon enrollment, participants must:

sign the contract;
-
complete payment;
-
register on the required training platforms;
-
meet course prerequisites.
Art. 2 – Certification Issuance
Certification will be issued upon successful completion of course requirements and full payment.
Art. 3 – Enrollment Validity
Course enrollment is valid for 12 months and regulated by the signed contract.
Art. 4 – Scheduling
Theoretical lessons, confined water sessions, and open water dives will be scheduled with the student. Dates and locations may change due to technical or weather conditions.
Art. 5 – Absences
Lessons missed for personal reasons are still considered due.
Art. 6 – Extra Lessons
Any additional lessons beyond the standard program will be considered extra and charged separately.
Art. 7 – Incomplete Sessions
If a student does not successfully complete a session for reasons not attributable to the school, the session must still be paid in full.
Art. 8 – Student Equipment
For beginner courses, required equipment is provided on loan.
In case of theft, loss, or damage, the student must reimburse the market value.
Art. 9 – Equipment Handling
Each student is responsible for preparing tanks and equipment and transporting them to the activity site.
All equipment must be rinsed and returned on the same day.
Failure to comply may result in exclusion from the course without refund.
Art. 10 – Training Dives
Boat or RIB outings for training dives are included in the course fee.
Art. 11 – Certification
Upon course completion, an internationally recognized digital certification will be issued.
Final Provisions
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court.
Failure to accept or comply with these regulations will result in exclusion from all activities organized by Sea Tribe Diving School.
